Health Technology Assessment in India, Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, GOI organized 2 nd International Symposium on Health Technology Assessment (ISHTA) -2023 on the theme of “Availability, Affordability, and Accessibility through HTA for Universal Health Coverage” on 10 th March 2023 in collaboration with WHO and Centre for global Development Europe (CGDE).
On this occasion, the Chief guest of the event Shri. Jagdeep Dhankhar, Hon’ble Vice President of India and Guest of Honors Dr Mansukh Mandaviya Hon’ble Union Minister, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Chemical and Fertilizers, GOI & Prof V. K. Paul Member, NITI Aayog, GOI inaugurated the Market Place and released a video on “Journey of HTA”. Later, Dr Rajiv Bahl, Sec DHR & DG ICMR, Smt. Roli Singh, AS & MD, NHM and Smt. Anu Nagar, JS, DHR, MoHFW has released HTA Policy Briefs Volume-2.
ISHTA-2023 provided a sublime platform to host the first-ever HTA Market Place which will not only benefit participants with the knowledge and product sharing but also brought various HTA stakeholders, such as academia, researchers, policy makers, industry, etc. to a common forum to share their views on the significance of HTA for accessibility, availability, and affordability of health technologies as a step towards Universal Health Coverage.
